Find your personal diet plan?

Summer means bikini time or at least bathing suit! If you are like my clients most of them are threatened by the thought of having to wear a bathing suit at the shore, despite  the fact that lots of them have lost a few pounds.

Most people are not happy with their weight. Their has been a research at colleges where they found out that 8 out of 10 girls in college want to weigh less.

I don't think we should chase the ideal weight any more. We are better off to throw out the scale and start measuring  success on the way our cloths fit.

The first thing that I tell my clients at my wellness coaching is too stop counting calories and worry about their weight. Weight will come off, if they will follow my big NO list. I give them a list of things that they no longer can eat. Of course that is strictly individual since I personalize each clients nutrition plan by their health questionnaire.
Through the questions I can see if somebody has tendency towards a sluggish thyroid, or if somebody is just completely burned out with their adrenal glands due too excess stress in their lives.

Weight loss is actually more complicated as just eating less!    That's why it is sometimes very important to have a network of people who will support you in your effort to loose weight. If you are constantly surrounded with people who talk you in to eating a second helping of ice cream, you are already programmed to failure.

15 years ago people started to have personal trainers to get there workout more personalized.
Today people starting to have a wellness coach to get a more personalized diet plan. There are so many diets out there but one persons diet success can be somebody else's failure.

We are all individuals who thrive on different foods.
Some people can eat a big bowl of salad and feel full and energized, somebody else might feel tired and hungry.
Knowing what foods to avoid is already half of the battle towards loosing those last stubborn pounds.
If your body does not digest well and you find out what foods have caused your indigestion, weight loss can happen by just eliminating food allergies. I have had a client who was sensitive towards grains, once he stopped eating grains to every meal he lost weight without even trying.

Lots of commercial diets likes Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig etc.are successful since they have their clients reduce their calorie intake drastically. Everyone can have success for the first few days or weeks with a very low calorie diet, but once the body learns to adapt to a very low calorie intake, your metabolism will  shut down and your weight will plateau. It's just like with an airplane, if the engines fail the pilots can still land the plan without even using fuel. I consider a diet successful if you can keep your weight off for a minimum of 12 months.

Diets do not work, lifestyle changes do work. Start eating more super foods which are foods that are high in nutrition, minerals and vitamins but low in calories like kale or cabbage. I have never seen somebody gaining weight by eating two bowls of sweet sour marinated cabbage with mushrooms and quinoa for dinner.

You do not have to starve yourself you just have to find the right food for yourself.
